Spring Break - Day 3

Today will be a brighter day..... it has to be 'cause we're going to the beach and Grandma's house. The morning is spent getting the house ready, the pets care lined up and last minute laundry ... aka mom's clothes. Everyone else has their clothes packed and ready to go .. poor Mom as usual is the last one with clean clothes. The litany starts ... can we go yet?, can we go yet?, can we go yet? ...... you know the drill ... the one that will be followed in short time with are we there yet?, are we there yet?, are we there yet? ...anyway ... we can't go until Mom's clothes are dry and that's it! So we wait and play cards and bingo and wait some more. The loading process has started .. the car is ready to go and then the antsy behavior takes over. Kids take off around the block on bikes just to say goodbye one more time, the dog gets out of the fence - I knew I should have gotten him to the kennel sooner! Dryer buzzes, clothes are ready ... so I start corralling everyone ... dog to the car, kids in the car, lights turned off, cat litter box cleaned, note to the neighbor and we're off. It wasn't until several hellacious hours later that the epiphany hits ..... D@&N ... my clothes are still in the dryer!
